Travelzoo is once again selling an interesting hotel voucher. This time, you can stay at the 5-star SO/ Bangkok for only €89, including breakfast. These vouchers can then be redeemed anytime before November 30, 2022, with you getting this fixed price, which is roughly 45% below the usual price of this hotel. If you book three nights, you’ll even get THB 1,000 (~€25) for food and drinks, and another THB 1,000 (~€25) for the spa.
This deal is available on the German Travelzoo website. If you don’t speak German, we recommend that you use a browser that can translate the site for you. Once you’ve bought the voucher, you’ll be able to view it on the English Travelzoo site as well. Redeeming the voucher at the hotel is also possible in English.
Once you’ve purchased these vouchers, you simply need to email the hotel, once you’ve figured out the dates that you want to stay there. Should you, later on, decide, that you don’t want to travel to Bangkok (or stay at this hotel) you can simply get a full refund for these vouchers. If you already redeemed them, you can cancel your reservation up until 14 days before your arrival.
If you’re unsure about how many nights you’re going to stay, simply buy a few extra vouchers. Once you’ve decided, you can just get a refund for the ones you bought in excess.
The Hotel
The 5-star SO/ Bangkok is a fun and chic hotel with stylish rooms that offers many great amenities, such as an infinity pool.
The hotel has received very good reviews, with former guests complimenting the view, the large rooms, the proximity to public transit, the friendly and professional staff, the hotel management, as well as the gym. The comfortable beds and the front desk staff have also been especially praised in the reviews.
The hotel’s location is OK, located in Bang Rak, a lively shopping and entertainment hub, with many casual pubs and chic cocktail lounges. You’ll find both some cheap and some high-end restaurants there. The biggest upsides of this neighbourhood are that there are many things to see within it, as well as its connection to the public transportation network that will take you to most sights within 15 minutes if you use the subway. Merely the amount of restaurants close to the hotel is not exactly spectacular, compared to other parts of the city.
