Star Alliance member SAS is selling very cheap tickets to Shanghai from various European cities. Even if you add €60 to €80 to the price for luggage, you’d still be getting a sweet deal. You can also drop the price by another €30 by booking via our Travel-Dealz flight search.
Entering China is currently not possible from most countries. We do not know when the travel restrictions will start to fall. Should you not be able to travel, you can cancel your booking and get a voucher, which is valid for a year.
There’s high availability in November and between January and March 2022. Be aware, however, that SAS does not operate every route daily.

You would first fly to Copenhagen, from where an Airbus A350 would fly you to Shanghai.
We expect further shakeups in the airline industry over the following months. Some services might be cancelled, aircraft changed or downgraded. The schedule we describe may very well change.

This deal expires on May 10, 2021. Until then, you can book flights that take place between July 1 and March 31. Your trip, however, has to be at least 6 days (or a Sunday) long.

Information & Tips for Shanghai
Shanghai is the most important financial and commercial center of China. But not only business travelers are welcome here. Also, regular tourists can get there money’s worth. And this is great because the city is connected to many major airports and therfor we’ll often present you with good deals for flights to Shanghai.
Best Time to Visit
Since Shanghai is located in a subtropical climate zone, spring and autumn are the best travel times thanks to moderate temperatures and a few rainy days. April, May, September, and October are particularly suitable for a visit to the Chinese city thanks to the low rainfall and humidity.
From the airport to the city
Shanghai Pudong Airport is located 40km east of the city center. Probably the fastest and most exciting method is the Maglev. The magnetic levitation train takes only 7 minutes, and with costs of around 5€ it is also a rather inexpensive (and of course faster!) alternative to a taxi, which would cost about 20€.
