Plus Ultra is a long distance budget airline that could almost compete with Vamos or evelop. At the moment, they are selling discounted tickets for flights to Bogotá in business class. You can book your seats for a round-trip between Spain and Colombia at prices starting around €1,155. On your flight back to Madrid, you will have a two-hour technical stop in Cartagena. Most likely, you will be allowed to remain on board of the aircraft.
Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.
A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.
Availabilities are from mid-August till March 2023. Departures in both directions are possible on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Plus Ultra has a very small fleet but has interesting destinations, such as Peru, Chile, Cuba and of course Colombia in its portfolio. They operate with very matured former Air France A340-300’s. The business class offers angled flat seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. Their IFE system offers a limited choice. According to reviews, the IFE is often out of order and the screen size is very small in today’s standard. The best thing is to bring your own entertainment. Please bear in mind that you have no lounge access. This business class is a very simple product, don’t expect anything too fancy.

The fare rules for these tickets don’t tell us much more than a maximum stay of twelve months, so we cannot tell you when this is going to expire. The maximum stay is 12 months.
Cheapest fares are found when booking via an OTA, when booking directly with the airline fares start from €1,283. Unfortunately, in this case, Google Flights does not preview the dates precisely.
Plus Ultra is not part of any alliance, therefore you can’t earn any miles except for their own program Premier Plus.
Hotel prices in Bogotá usually start at roughly €20, depending on the hotel category. Hostels and homestays start at €7. Whichever category and hotel you opt for, make sure to get the best price! Our recommendation is to search on booking.com, or even on our own Travel-Dealz hotel search:
We recommend Backpacking Bananas for inspiration and more information about Colombia.
