Companion Sale: Lufthansa Business Class From France Starting at €895 p.P.

Lufthansa Business Class Sitz A340

Lufthansa and Swiss are currently once again offering a great partner sale from France. Departing from e.g. Paris or Strasbourg, you can fly for less than €1,000 p.p. to destinations such as Dubai, or Tehran. For a somewhat higher price, you can also fly to other destinations, e.g. Bangkok or Singapore.

The condition to get these prices is to book for at least 2 passengers. There is generally good availability for trips until September 2022. In some cases, you can also fly first class for roughly double the price.

Info

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

At least, Lufthansa will allow you to rebook these tickets without paying a fee. You would, however, have to pay the price difference, which could easily be more than €1,000. You can, however, also change the route, and thus use the amount you paid for any other deal at that time.

Some destinations are only available from Paris, some are also available (and even a bit cheaper) from other French airports, such as Strasbourg. Here are the most interesting prices from Paris (per person):

Not all the above-mentioned destinations are listed on the landing pages, but they’re nonetheless available.

To get to these prices, you either have to book directly through the landing page or use the code LGPARTYOF2 when searching for the flights normally on Lufthansa.com. Another option is to book on Swiss.com. More on this under Search & Book.

The flights usually have a layover in Frankfurt, Munich, or Zurich. In some rare cases, you can also fly via Vienna.

If you don’t like surprises, you’ll be on the safe side with Lufthansa in one aspect: all planes have the exact same seats. That, however, will no longer be the case when Lufthansa receives its first Boeing 777 planes with the new business class. Many of our readers may have already experienced the current business class. Generally, Travel-Dealz writers and readers are not big fans of the Lufthansa business class, even though it is definitely not bad. One reason for that is that the service is too inconsistent: From extremely friendly and quick to unfriendly and slow – everything is possible with Lufthansa, even in business class.

With SWISS, it very much depends on the specific seat, as SWISS has a throne seat in every row. While the double seats share a platform in the middle, the throne seat has its own platform on each side, which you won’t have to share with anyone. Those seats thus offer privacy and comfort to an extent that the other seats cannot compete with. Therefore, you may be disappointed if you don’t get one of the throne seats, even if the other seats obviously also have a very high standard.

According to the Lufthansa site, these deals are available until November 7, 2021 for trips before September 30, 2022. If you can’t find any of the cheap dates, you could take a look on Google Flights.

You then have three options to book these flights. We recommend using Lufthansa’s website.

Using Lufthansa’s Landingpage

On the companion sale’ landing page, you’ll find a search form near the top. Simply select your route, preferred dates, and at least two passengers, e.g. like this:

You can then select the exact flights and book them.

Using Lufthansa’s Homepage

You can also simply go to Lufthansa.com Then, additionally to the travel info, click on I have an access code. The code for this companion sale is LGPARTYOF2. Enter that code in that field:

You can then book the flights as usual.

Using Swiss.com

Sadly, not all destinations can be booked on Swiss’ website. Booking there, however, is really easy. Simply enter the desired route and number of passengers on Swiss.com and then book as usual.

On the Swiss landing page, there’s even a calendar near the bottom. Once you’ve selected a destination, all available dates will be highlighted in gold and can be directly be booked.

When I book Paris-JNB via FRA and return, when traveling back can I finish the trip in FRA (so that the last flight from FRA-Paris will not be used)?
Explanation: we are living in Stuttgart and then want to go directly from FRA to stuttgart per train.

    • Ditmar Lange says:

Officially, no. In theory, yes. I’ve done this once and had no problems. But there have also been negative reports. One problem, for instance, seems to be getting your luggage in Frankfurt, as some check-in agents refuse to not check it through to the final destination.
In short: It’s possible, but be prepared for it possibly not to work super smoothly. A bit of arguing might be necessary.
