Seville is the capital of Spain’s southernmost province Andalusia. A conflux of Spanish and Muslim influences make the entire region to a culturally unique place, with Seville being one of the highlights. The winter in Seville is usually mild and not as dry as the rest of the year, with temperatures usually ranging between 10 and 20 °C. In the summer, it can get scorching hot, with temperatures of more than 30 °C becoming fairly regular.
The Hotel
The Hotel Colon is a five-star-rated hotel located near a sidearm of the city’s Guadalquivir River. The famous Alcázar castle is just a 15-minute stroll away, with the walk leading you directly through the heart of the city. Entrance tickets to the nearby Seville Fine Arts Museum are part of the deal, as well.
If you are in for a bit of relaxation instead of sightseeing: The hotel has a rooftop pool and bar. You may also enjoy delicious food in two restaurants. In one of those you can enjoy a free dinner for two persons once during your stay – in addition to your daily breakfast.
Price Check
This is a very good deal, as ASMALLWORLD is a slightly higher price, but giving you many additional benefits. The included dinner alone should price out at way more than the additional €19. That means perks like the early check-in, late check-out, daily breakfast and room upgrade come free.
Other five star chain hotels like the Radisson Collection Seville (€216) charge a similar rate for refundable stays including breakfast during the Winter. Just like ASMALLWORLD’s offer, price there are €20 higher per night in August. You will still get the free upgrade, late check-in and check-out and a free on-site dinner on top when choosing ASW.
If you are trying to get rooms during the main season (April through June), you can still get the ASMALLWORLD benefits, but room prices quickly rise to €400 in April to more than €500 in May. They come back down to Earth in August, when the sun is hammering down in Southern Spain and temperatures rise drastically.
