Florida is located in the south-east of the USA and is a popular holiday destination. Miami Beach, the Florida Keys, Disneyworld, the Everglades, etc… – All these things bring lots of tourists to the state year for year, and its proximity to the Caribbean another plus! Flights from Europe (especially from Germany) to Florida are often quite cheap. Deals between €200 and €300 are slowly becoming the norm and good deals in business class are increasingly common. Florida and in particular Miami are good starting points to fly further into the Caribbean or to Central or South America. The most relevant airports for international air traffic are Miami, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
Best Time to Visit
Florida consists mainly of wetlands with high humidity and hot temperatures. The best time to travel is from late autumn to late spring (November to May), when temperatures are moderate. The hurricane season from August to October should be avoided.
