Hungarian low cost carrier Wizz Air offers super cheap fares to Nur-sultan, the capital of Kazakhstan formerly known as Astana. Since this is a Wizzair fare, only a small cabin bag is included. Adding a checked in bag up to 20kg increases the price up to €200, which is still a below average fare on this route.
A Wizzair Airbus A320 leaves for Nur-sultan mid-sunday and arrives in the evening. Thanks to the huge time difference, the inbound flight departs late sunday evening and arrives in Budapest just before midnight.

For other dates from November through March, the cheapest base fares are still well below €200, making this an overall good offer.

Please be aware that Nur-sultan is subject to extreme weather conditions during winter months. The average daily temperature from November through February is negative ten degrees!
Most EU citizens won’t need a visa to enter Kazakhstan, given their trip does not exceed thirty days. Please inform yourself if this regulation applies to you.
