Bangkok: €295 from Budapest, Prague with Ukraine Int’l Airlines (incl. luggage)

Ukrainian flag carrier Ukraine International Airlines offers amazing economy fares between Eastern Europe and Bangkok, starting at €295 from Budapest. These fares include a checked bag up to 23kg, but no board service. Further departure airports include Prague, Warsaw and Vienna. All flights include an overnight layover in Kiev on the inbound flight.

The short haul flights to Kiev are operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft. A Boeing 767-300ER will take you onwards from Kiev to Bangkok.

According to UIA’s fare rules, travel must commence between today and July 11. A second period is possible between September 2 and October 31. There is no restriction on minimum stay, however your maximum stay may not exceed one month. This offer ends on June 30, 2019, but may run out of availability earlier.

Since Google Flights doesn’t always display UIA fares correctly, the best way to find matching dates is ITA Airfare Matrix. With the following parameters set, you should be able to find a couple of matching dates:

If you change the departure airport, you’ll be able to find dates for flights from Prague, Warsaw or Vienna as well. Availability is best in September and October.

From the airport to the city center

Suvarnabhumi Airport is connected to the city center by train. Trains run between 06:00 and 23:59 approximately every 15 minutes and the journey takes 24 minutes. A taxi ride costs about 400 Baht and takes, depending on the traffic, 30 minutes to more than an hour.
