Terms & Conditions

The price of the pass depends on the conditions under which you purchase it. The cheapest passes are only available if you select a 60 or even 90-day advance booking restriction and limit eligible flight dates to off-peak season windows (that means no travel during holidays, etc.).

You can purchase a Discover Europe Pass as cheap as CHF 599 (~€611), if you select your flights 90 days before departure and travel off-peak exclusively. If you want to be more flexible and wish to select flights up to 7 days before departure, the price increases to CHF 1,100 (~€1,123). Add in peak season travel (Christmas and Easter) the most expensive price is CHF 1,400 (~€1,429).

After you purchase your pass, you have twelve months to redeem your flights. The travel period seems to have no further restrictions than the one you’ve already selected. You can reserve your flights in the customers’ section of the flightpass website – depending on your choices, at least 90 days before your intended departure. Availability seems to be pretty good – you have multiple options for every route that your pass has to offer. You can check availability beforehand on the bottom of the flight pass page – so you know what you’re getting.

Bottom Line

Think twice! If you’re flexible on time, check prices regularly and know exactly where you want to go, you may get better results booking flights normally sometimes. SWISS offers roundtrip fares to many European destinations at €100. You can find them easily with Lufthansa’s best price search tool. With the cheapest flight pass, which basically charges you CHF 110 (~€112) for a roundtrip, you could still save some money, though, on many occasions.

This is offer is also very interesting for people who are not flexible on time and are determined to travel to certain destinations. With this flight pass, you can purchase tickets for a fraction of their usual cost – especially on shorthand bookings.
