Star Alliance member Swiss offers an attractive first class fare from Stockholm to Dubai. Round trips with a layover in Zurich start at SEK 15,777 (~€1,516). This fare show fairly good availability during November and December 2020.
Most connections feature a long, overnight layover in Zurich on the outbound. While this may add hotel costs, it gives you the opportunity to spend several hours in Swiss’ highly praised First Class lounge.
When booking via swiss.com, you can combine first and business class tickets as you please, i.e. a business outbound and first or economy inbound flight on the same ticket.
Flights from Stockholm to Zurich are European business class connections on either Swiss or SAS metal. An Airbus A330-300 takes you to Dubai in the most comfortable way SWISS has to offer. You can read a review of our author Dennis’ first class experience enroute to Hong Kong here.
We expect major shakeups in the airline industry over the following months. Some services might be cancelled, aircraft changed or downgraded. The schedule we describe was planned under different economic circumstances and may very well change.

Search & Book
Sadly, we were not able to find any fare rules. But we have compiled all travel dates at the lowest fare for trips up to four weeks in our availability calendar:
You can find further flight dates on Google Flights (instructions). Enter them in our flight search to see what online travel agencies have to offer or proceed directly to swiss.com to purchase your tickets.
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend to book with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
- Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airlines has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward you information like flight changes instead receiving them directly from the airline. You may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem solving.
This especially applies for premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
- Baggage Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are more and more common. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
Swiss issues the long haul tickets in booking class A. It is no surprise that the mileage will be pouring in when buying such an expensive ticket:
