South Africa: €367 From Oslo With Air France – KLM (€467 With Luggage)

kapstadt

SkyTeam partners KLM and Air France are selling cheap tickets from Oslo to their South African destinations: Johannesburg and Cape Town. Sadly, luggage is not included and would cost €100 extra, unless you’re a SkyTeam status holder.

Info

You can find tickets for €10-20 less earlier in the year, but we don’t recommend booking those because of the Corona crisis. We recommend booking these flights for November/December. Even if the tickets cost a bit more, the risk is much lower. If you want to find out more about Air France – KLM’s flexibility policy in this Corona crisis, feel free to take a look at our article:

KLM uses a Boeing 777 for both destinations. Air France uses an Airbus A380 for its flights to Johannesburg and an Airbus A350 for its flights to Cape Town. It is, however possible, that Air France could retire its A380 until then because of the Corona virus crisis. That would be a positive change as their A380 cabin is very outdated.

The tickets will continue to be sold at this price until April 14, 2020. You can fly from July 24th until December 13th as long as your trip is at least 7 days long and does not exceed 3 months. The short flights between Oslo and Paris/Amsterdam are issued in booking class L, while the long-haul flights between Europe and South Africa are issued in class G.

Finding available dates is easy if you use Google Flights. You can then directly book the flights on KLM’s website.
