Star Alliance flagship carrier Singapore Airlines is currently selling business class tickets from Sweden to Indonesia for prices starting at €1,703. While we have sometimes found cheaper flights, this still represents a fantastic deal considering that you’d be flying with Singapore Airlines, one of the world’s best airlines. The cheapest flights are from Stockholm to Bali-Denpasar, but for a bit more, you can fly to various Indonesian destinations and even depart from Gothenburg for €1,805.
From Stockholm, we found cheap flight to the following Indonesian cities:
- Bali-Denpasar: €1,703
- Bandung: €1,751
- Manado: €1,752
- Semarang: €1,752
- Lombok-Praya: €1,754
- Balikpapan: €1,756
From Stockholm, Singapore Airlines flies to Moscow and then continues, with the same plane (an Airbus A350, with the new business class seats), to Singapore. In Singapore, you would switch planes and continue to your Indonesian destination. If you depart from Gothenburg, SAS will fly you to Stockholm.
As you can see, the range of Indonesian destinations is quite big for this deal.
Search & Book
This deal already expires on September 15, 2019, so you’ll have to be rather quick. Your trip has to be at least 7 days long, may not exceed 1 month, and has to take place during the following time-periods:
- November 1st – December 17th, 2019
- December 23rd, 2019 – March 27th
- April 7th – June 10th, 2020
You can use Google Flights to find available dates. Once you’ve found them, you can either book directly over the airline or save quite a bit of money by getting the cheapest fare on our Travel-Dealz flight search.
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend to book with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
- Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airlines has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward you information like flight changes instead receiving them directly from the airline. You may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem solving.
This especially applies for premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
- Baggage Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are more and more common. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
All tickets are issued in booking class D. A roundtrip from Stockholm to Bali-Denpasar would get you the following number of miles:

Singapore Airlines Business Class
Singapore Airlines’ business-class is one of a very high level. Especially their new business class seats, which they’ve been installing on all their new planes, are excellent. Their service has also received much praise over the last few decades. The seats are aligned in a 1-2-1 formation, meaning that each seat has direct access to the aisle. Of course, their seats also fully recline to form a fully
