Qatar Partner Sale: Business Class at €1,071 From Budapest

Qatar Aircraft

We’ve seen Qatar Airways running a great partner sale with departure from Zagreb a while ago. Now the Oneworld carrier expanded this promotion resulting in sweet business class deals from Budapest. There are several exciting destinations included, the cheapest one being Nairobi with prices starting around €1,071 / HUF 362,690.

Here’s a list of other cities that you can visit as part of the current sale. All prices are “per person” if you’re traveling with a companion:

Of course, all trips will include one layover in Doha, Qatar Airways’ hub. From there, the carrier will fly you to your preferred destination. The airline will operate mostly Airbus A320 on flights from Hungary to Qatar, which is great since this means that the aircraft will be equipped with lie-flat seats. After that, it’s often an Airbus A350 or a Boeing 787.

Qatar Airways Business Class

Not only is Qatar Airways an airline with a five-star Skytrax-rating, but it is also considered to offer one of the best business class experiences worldwide.

Most flights have seats, that can be converted into flat beds. In the Boeing 787-Dreamliner, they are even in a 1-2-1 alignment. Airplanes that have the QSuites even offer small, private suites that are usually only available in First Class:

Search & Book

According to the fare rules, tickets will be sold until October 29th. So there are only a couple of days to go. And since prices are that low, we’re not sure that cheap seats won’t sell out earlier than that. The offer is valid for trips commencing on or before December 10th, and your trip has to be completed by December 31st.

Since there are no black-out dates, this means that you can often book trips over Xmas, if you want to. The minimum stay requirements are 3 days, and technically, you could stay up to three months. But the maximum stay is limited due to the end date of this offer.

To find the cheap flights, we recommend using Google Flights (instructions). The tool will display all prices and connections correctly. Just don’t forget to add a second passenger to your search! Otherwise, prices won’t match the ones that we are promoting here.

You can book directly on the carrier’s website. Or you can use our Travel Dealz flight search to compare prices that OTAs offer.

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend booking with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airline has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward information like flight changes instead of receiving them directly from the airline. In many cases, you may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem-solving.

This especially applies to premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.

Baggage and Other Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are industry standard by now. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

This also applies to other things like food services, insurances or priority treatment. In almost all cases, you pay less for additional amenities when booking on the airlines’ website.

Mileage

All tickets should be issued in booking class R. Consequently, your earning rate should be either 100% or 125% on most Oneworld frequent flyer programs. Have a look at the following list to find out how many miles you could be credit with for a trip to Hong Kong:
