Qatar Airways: Business Class flights from Belgrade and Stockholm to Cairns starting at 1.792€ (mixed cabin)

Qatar Airways QSuite

Qatar’s Business Class is known to be one of the world’s best cabin products. And right now the Oneworld carrier is offering a very interesting option to test its premium product. Departing from Belgrade and Stockholm, Qatar will fly you to Cairns, Australia. Prices start at 1.792€ (Belgrade) respectively 21.384 SEK (Stockholm). But there is a catch! At least the flight segment from Australia to Hong Kong will be in Cathay Pacific‘s Economy Class. If you’re travelling from Belgrade, both flights to and from Cairns are in coach.

Routing

Your trip will first bring you from Europe to Qatar’s hub in Doha. After continuing to Hongkong you will switch carriers and board an aircraft of Cathay Pacific. Unfortunately, this flight might already be in Economy Class. At least on your return flight you’ll have to sit in one of the rows in the back of the aircraft. But: The Asian airline is known for its great coach class, and second, the pricing still makes it a nice deal.

Qatar will operate an Airbus A321 on the route from Belgrade to its hub in Doha. This means that you won’t get to experience lie-flat seats during the first flight. That changes as soon as you board the Boeing 777 in Doha. On your way to Hongkong you should be able to test Qatar’s Qsuite!

Travelers flying from Stockholm are even more fortunate. The airline operates a Boeing 787 on the route from Sweden to Qatar. Therefore you will be enjoying lie-flat seat right from the start.

Search & Book

The offer should be available until April 30th, 2019 for flights commencing on or before June 30th, 2019. You won’t be able to find this promotional offer using Google flights (instructions). So you have to use the Matrix Airfare Search or visit Qatar Airways’ website for your search.

Qatar Business Class

The Airbus A321 only offers Reliner Seats in Business Class but the product on board of Qatar’s 787 Dreamliner is much better, as you can see here. Flights from Doha to Hongkong and back will most likely have the QSuite onboard – a seat that is actually more First than Business Class. Have a look!

No matter which aircraft you’ll be one, there are some things that Qatar’s business class products all have in common: 40 kg baggage allowance (no limit to the number of bags although there is a maximum dimension of 300 cm) and of course access to the Al Mourjan Business Lounge.

Mileage

Tickets for Business Class flights will be issued in booking class I (Qatar) or I (Cathay Pacific). The Economy Class segments will be in booking class Y.

Flights in Qatar’s premium cabin will get you up to 125% in award miles, the trips in coach class will earn you 100% with most programs.

But the tier miles for this flight might be even more interesting than the amount of award miles you’ll be credited with. If you’re a member of British AirwaysExecutive Club, you will get 700 tier points for the flight from Belgrade. 770 if you fly from Stockholm. That means you’ll only need 4 segments with British Airways to get upgraded to Gold tier.
