Portuguese hotel chain Pestana currently has launched its Black Week promotion. Benefits include discounts up to 42% on room rates. The participating Pestana hotels are spread over three continents. The promotion runs until November 28, 2021 and is valid for stays until November 1, 2022.
The offer is valid for Pestana Hotels in Africa, America, and Europe. You can find all participating hotels on Pestana’s landing page. Members of Pestana’s loyalty program Pestana Guest Club (PCG) receive an additional discount and can earn points with onsite purchases. Signing up is free.
Price Comparison
To see if the promoted discount is realistic, we picked a random hotel (Pestana Carlton Madeira) and a random date (December 10 – 11). This is what we got:
Pestana charges €101, or €90 if you are a Pestana Guest Club member (which you should be). Then we checked what other sites are charging for this room (as this discount should only apply to bookings made directly on Pestana’s website):
So, booking.com is the next-cheapest alternative, charging €126. That means that Pestana is saving you 20%. Add the member discount and that number even increases to almost 30%. Not a bad discount! There may be cases where the promoted discount of 42% is applied (probably at one of their cheaper hotels) and even though we weren’t able to find it in our quick test, a 30% discount is nothing to frown upon.
Bottom Line
This is another generous offer by the Portuguese hotel chain. Even if you won’t always get the full 42% discount, you can expect to get at least 20% off, which is a good promotion. Another remarkable feature of this sale is the very long travel period, as you can use this promotion to book hotels until next year’s November. Usually, these rates even offer free cancellation!
