Oneworld’s American Airlines is selling very cheap business class tickets for flights between Paris and New York. Roundtrips in either of the carrier’s business class cabins are available at roughly €1,298. SkyTeam members Delta and Air France have also joined the party, selling tickets for their service to New York at €1,306.
In case you have to cancel your trips, Air France offers a full refund for all trips in 2021. Despite being more expensive, this makes their offer more attractive if you plan to travel this year.
On the other hand, American Airlines cancellation policy carries over into next year: You can keep the full value of your original ticket but will need to pay the fare difference if your new flight is more expensive. If your new flight is less expensive, you’ll get the fare difference in the form of travel credit to use on a future trip.
Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.
A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.
American Airlines’ offer shows great availability into April 2022. Our availability calendar shows you all possible flight dates at the lowest fare for trips up to four weeks. It will forward you to Skyscanner, where we recommend buying tickets directly from American Airlines website, even though online travel agencies may have cheaper offers.
Air France’s offer shows pretty good availability until April 2022 as well. While the tickets might be a bit more expensive, they might represent the better alternative for travel in 2021. The airline offers full refunds for all tickets booked this year and starting before December 31, 2021. American Airlines does not offer this service.
Search & Book
Both deals are set to expire on December 31, 2021. However, it could be withdrawn or run out of availability earlier.
Other than that, both airlines state that your trip has to include a Sunday. You can search for your ideal dates on Google Flights, and then directly book on the airline’s website (SkyTeam or Oneworld). The easiest choice, however, is simply using our calendars above.

American Airlines Business Class
Even if American Airlines doesn’t enjoy a good reputation for many, their business class is very good. Every seat has direct access to the aisle and the service, as well as the food and the seat, are at a very high standard. Travel-Dealz founder Johannes tested the Boeing 777 and really enjoyed the flight.
Air France Business Class
Before Covid-19, Air France still had 4 different business class versions, but now, as the A380 & A340 have left the fleet, only 3 remain. The business class in the A380 was no longer up to today’s standards, unlike the business class that’s installed in the Boeing 787-Dreamliner and Airbus A350, which is modern and comfortable. This business class is now continuously being installed in other Air France planes as well.
Delta Business Class
If you’re traveling to North America, Delta is surely not a bad choice, especially if the route is operated with an Airbus plane. The seats in the Boeing 767 are good, but already quite old. The seats in the A330 and especially the A350, however, are on an extremely high level. All A330neo and A350 planes already have the Suite seats installed, which offer maximum privacy.
Information & Tips for USA
The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.
Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements
The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA) for about €12, you don’t need a visa for entry.
The Best Time to Visit
Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.
The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
