Western USA: €372 Oneworld Flights from Scandinavia (€482 with Luggage)

Oneworld partners British Airways, Finnair, American Airlines, and Iberia are currently offering cheap flights to various US destinations from Oslo, Stockholm and Gothenburg starting at only NOK 4,235 (~€362). While that price isn’t particularly exciting for the East Coast, it’s a good price for the Western side of the country, like Los Angeles, Seattle or the Bay Area. Unfortunately these bags only include a carry-on bag. Adding a checked bag would raise the fare to at least NOK 5,491 (~€470). Departures are available from March to May and from August to January 2025.

Currency

The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
