New York & Boston: £1,193 / €1,384 Oneworld Nonstop Business Class From London

British Airways Business

Oneworld members American Airlines and British Airways will fly you in business class from London to New York and Boston for as low as €1,384 (~£1,186). You can fly from late January until mid-March 2022.

Info

Flying to the USA is currently not really possible, and we don’t know when the entry restrictions will be lifted.

Info

These flights aren’t available on British Airways’ website, at least not at this price. Iberia’s website will display higher prices at first, but once you’ve selected your flights, the price will drop to the mentioned prices.

These business class flights will allow you to bring 2 x 32 kg of checked luggage, as well as 2 pieces of hand luggage.

By the way, there are currently also some other great business class deals from London:

Search & Book

Your trip has to include a Sunday and take place between December 27 and March 31. Furthermore, you can only depart from London from Tuesday through Thursday, and fly back between Monday and Wednesday.

You can search for dates on Google Flights (instructions) or, even better, simply use our calendar above, which will redirect you to Iberia’s booking site. Even though the flights are operated by American Airlines or British Airways, it is Iberia who is selling them at this low price for some reason.

Warning

We expect further shakeups in the airline industry over the following months. Some services might be cancelled, aircraft changed or downgraded. The schedule we describe may very well change.

American Airlines Business Class

Even if American Airlines doesn’t enjoy a good reputation for many, its business class is very good. Every seat has direct access to the aisle and the service, as well as the food and the seat, are at a very high standard. Travel-Dealz founder Johannes tested the Boeing 777 and really enjoyed the flight.

British Airways Business Class

British Airways was the first airline to offer lie-flat seats – over 20 years ago. Sadly, many seats are still from that time and no longer reach today’s standards in other aspects. Especially in the Boeing 747, the seats were extremely narrow. Furthermore, it is unusual that every other seat is facing backward. If you, however, fly in a plane that has the new Club World seats installed, you’ll be flying in a much better product, sometimes even with Suite seats that offer a lot of privacy. A general downside at British Airways: there is no free seat reservation, which is unusual for a business class.

Information & Tips for USA

The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.

Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements

The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA)  for approximately €20, you don’t need a visa for entry.

The Best Time to Visit

Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.

Currency

The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
