Oman Air Business Class: Multiple destinations from Athens, e.g. Bangkok at €1,333

Oman Air Business Class Seat

Gulf carrier Oman Air offers a bevy of Business Class destinations from Athens, highlighted by Bangkok and Manila for just more than €1,300. While other flights are available, those destinations feature a single Boeing 737 on both segments. Sadly, this premium cabin is nor as good or comfortable as Oman Air’s excellent long haul Business Class. Royal Jordanien offers Business Class seats to Bangkok slightly cheaper.

Further destinations without long haul Business Class include:

WY ATH BKK C €1333
Athens to Bangkok and back, with lounge access in Muscat.

Flights from Athens to Muscat are scheduled to Boeing 737 services. The same plane would take you onwards to Kathmandu, Hyderabad, Goa and Zanzibar. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to enjoy Oman Air’s long haul cabin on any flight. Only services to Bangkok (Boeing 787) and Manila (Airbus A330) are operated by long haul aircraft.

Search & Book

The cheapest fares are available using Online Travel Agencies, you can find them at skyscanner. Since these are Business Class fares, we recommend to book directly via omanair.com. This will see prices increase by roughly €100, but you’ll be able to communicate with Oman Air directly if any problems arise.

Fare rules allow a stopover in Muscat both ways. Possible travel dates are between today and December 10, 2019. Further, your stay must exceed three days and be shorter than one month. This offer is valid until June 15, 2019.

Availability seems to be good through all of October, November and December. If you want to search some dates comfortably beforehand, unsing the Airfare Matrix with the following parameters (instructions):

WY Business Search

You can enter the dates you’ve found on skyscanner or omanair.com. This works for all possible destinations.

Mileage

Booking class for all flight segments is R. Since Oman Air is not affiliated with any airline alliance, this flight won’t yield miles on most frequent flyer programs. This example is for a Athens to Bangkok roundtrip:

  • 15,300 on Oman Air
  • 15,300 on Etihad Guest
