Want to try out a short MSC cruise? Well, this is an incredibly cheap way to do so. On June 1, 2023, you can board the MSC Divina in Barcelona and travel to Genoa in a balcony cabin for only £89 (~€104) per person. If you want the cheapest possible option, you could also book an inside cabin for £49 (~€57) per person.
The price is based on a booking with 2 passengers. If you travel alone, you’ll pay twice as much.
This price includes all service charges and gratuities, as well as buffet & main restaurant dining. You’ll also get free hot drinks and water.
The itinerary of this cruise couldn’t be more straightforward. You’ll leave Barcelona on June 1 at 21:00, spend the entire next day at sea, and arrive in Genoa on June 3 at 8:00.
The MSC Divina was launched in 2012 and refurbished in 2017. On board, you’ll have several free dining options: Black Crab, Villa Rossa, and Calumet and Manitou Buffets. Furthermore, you can get croissants in the morning at the Divina Bar and Caffe Italia. There’s also free soft ice cream at the Aqua Park and free popcorn at night. Last but not least, you can also eat a continental breakfast in your own cabin.
Speaking of cabins, the MSC Divina cabins are quite large. Balcony cabins also have sofas instead of armchairs. The highlight of the ship’s amenities is its infinity pool.
Overall, the MSC Divina offers excellent entertainment options, though other cruise lines may offer more culinary variety. Still, if you like Italian design (and the low price), you’ll enjoy this ship.
Flying to Barcelona is usually cheap, especially if you live in a city that has a Ryanair connection to Barcelona, such as Dublin or Malaga. While Genoa’s airport doesn’t offer that many routes, you can also fly from nearby Milan. Both flights will probably cost you around €60-155 in total, also depending on if you intend to fly with luggage.
