Secret Escapes currently has a comparatively good offer for the 4-star Mode Sathorn Hotel in the Thai metropolis of Bangkok. You’d get a night with breakfast for merely £51 (~€60). The cheapest price is available daily until the end of October, and the rate can be cancelled free of charge. Late check-out and one massage per person and stay are also included. Note that a minimum stay of two nights is required.
The price has now gone up to £56 (~€65).
As usual with most Secret Escapes deals, you can cancel the booking free of charge up to 8 days before arrival. After that, cancellation is no longer possible.
As of June 1, 2022, you need a full vaccination scheme or a negative PCR test (no older than 72 hours) and health insurance that also covers COVID-19 treatments to enter Thailand.
The Hotel
The building has a restaurant, rooftop bar, outdoor pool, fitness and wellness area with infrared sauna, whirlpool and steam bath. The comfortable rooms are 35 square meters large and are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, safe, TV and telephone, among other things. Wi-Fi is available free of charge.
The hotel is located in the Bang Rak neighbourhood, meaning that there are plenty of restaurants of all sorts within walking distance of the hotel. You’re also close to many famous sights, such as Lumphini Park, which is only half an hour away.
Price Check
While you consistently pay £51 (~€60) on Secret Escapes, you have to pay significantly on all other websites. To give you an example, on August 13 you’d pay €72 on the next-cheapest website (Priceline), i.e. roughly 20% more. The price on other websites, however, varies depending on the exact dates that you select.
