Marriott Escapes: 25% Discount on Selected Hotels Over the Next Four Weekends

Westin Hamburg Zimmer

Marriott regularly runs promotions called Escapes. The current one sees a 25% discount being offered for the best available flex rate in selected hotels worldwide. This offer is valid for weekend stays with at least two nights. By selecting the Escapes rate, you have to prepay your stay.

The 25% discount consists of a 20% price reduction due to the Escapes promotion, with an additional 5% discount for members of Marriott’s loyalty program Marriott Bonvoy. Signing up for the program is free.

You can book this offer each Thursday through Sunday until November 14, 2021 for weekend stays within the same time limit. It is valid for stays from Friday until Sunday. Some hotels are willing to let you stay from Thursday to Saturday or Saturday to Monday. Sadly, there seems to be no binding rule for these exceptions.

These rates are refundable if you cancel up to 24 hours before your first night. Marriott’s terms and conditions note however, that a refund may take up to 90 days to process, so you will be waiting for your money quite a long time.

Marriott’s landing page displays all hotels participating in the offer, but gives no further clue about availability, so you might have to search and try a little bit.

Bottom Line

Neat little offer by Marriott, giving you the chance to save some actual money with this promotion. The only thing that drags it down is that it has to be prepaid and might not be refunded for 90 days after cancellation.
