Star Alliance carrier Lufthansa is back with yet another business class deal. This time the airline offers cheap fares from Strasbourg to various US destinations such as New York, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and more! Prices start at €1,367 to New York.
Unfortunately, this offer appears to be sold out already.
We have found the following prices to various destinations in the US with limited availability:
- New York from €1,373
- San Francisco from €1,466
- Miami from €1,467
- Los Angeles from €1,470
The leg from Strasbourg to Frankfurt is operated by a Lufthansa express bus. You cannot leave out this leg, your presence is mandatory. Your baggage will not be transferred automatically. For the bus or train segments, you must be in possession of your boarding pass. You will have to check in beforehand because of that and cannot check in at the airport.
Lufthansa’s Business Class on Long-Haul Routes
Lufthansa is rated as a 5-star airline through Skytrax and is the only European airline amongst the other 5-star airlines.
Business class with Lufthansa typically includes the following amenities:
- Business check in
- Priority borading
- 2 checked bags each up to 32kg
- 2 items of carry-on baggage each up to 8kg plus a personal item
- Access to business lounges across the Star Alliance network
- Access to welcome lounge in Frankfurt on the way back
All airplanes that Lufthansa utilizes for long-haul have a 2-2-2 seat configuration in business class. However there is one exception which is the single-aisle upper deck of the Boeing 747-400 that comes in a 2-2 seat configuration. All seats are fully lie-flat. Window seats do not have direct aisle access.
Service, food, inflight entertainment and the amenity kit are of high quality.
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, the minimum stay length has to be at least a night from Saturday to Sunday whereas the maximum stay length can be up to 3 months. The fare applies all year, however we have found limited availabilities for different destinations. The deal expires July 18, 2019 02:59 CEST.
To find availabilities it would best to utilize Lufthansa’s best price search for that. Google flights does not display the fares correctly.

If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
