Tokyo: €662 LOT Premium Economy from Prague

lot premium eco

The Polish Star Alliance member LOT is currently offering an attractive deal for premium economy flights to Tokyo: You can book a round trip from Prague Airport in the Czech Republic for €662.

The price includes 2 pieces of luggage weighing up to 23 kg and a seat reservation. You’ll sit in more comfortable and spacious seats. The seat alignment in premium economy is 2-3-2 instead of 3-3-3 in economy class.

Info

LOT allows all tickets booked by December 31, 2021, to be rebooked without having to pay a rebooking fee. However, you’ll have to pay the difference between the old and the new flight price. More on this is here on LOT’s website. Cancellation is not possible.

You can simply use the following form to book LOT’s deal. We have marked all available travel dates for trips of up to 28 days in green. Then just click on the blue button to get to the Travel-Dealz flight search. From there, you’ll just need to do one more click to book directly on LOT.com:

The long-haul flights are carried out with Boeing 787 Dreamliners operated by LOT. The short-distance flights from Prague to Warsaw (and back) are carried out with Dash-8 Turboprops.

Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when tourists can return to Japan and the conditions associated with this. If you want to be on the safe side, we, therefore, recommend taking a look at Air France’s offer. All tickets can be cancelled free of charge there until June 2022:

According to the fare rules, the offer is valid until January 16, 2022 for flights up to June 15, 2022. The return flight can also take place later.

The minimum stay requirement is 5 days or one night from Saturday to Sunday (whichever comes first). The fare does not provide any further restriction on the maximum length of your stay. Stopovers in Warsaw unfortunately cost €75 extra.

You can easily find suitable travel dates via our calendar above or with the help of Google Flights (instructions). We then recommend booking directly on LOT’s website for €662. If you are aware of the disadvantages, you can also book tickets from third-party providers in the Travel-Dealz flight search starting at €610. Please note, however, that additional fees for rebooking may then apply.

The flights are issued in booking class R. The mileage credit at most of the Star Alliance’s frequent flyer programs is quite good:

LOT’s Premium Economy

LOT’s premium economy is similar to that of Lufthansa but offers other advantages. There are 49.5 cm wide seats in a 2-3-2 arrangement, while the space to the seat in front is 96.5 cm or 38 inches big.

In premium economy, each passenger is allowed to check in two pieces of luggage (23 kg each), which are tagged with a priority tag. Two pieces of hand luggage are also included, each of which can weigh up to 12 kg. A small amenity kit is also given to passengers, which includes earplugs, a toothbrush, and a sleeping mask.

Information & Tips for Japan

Japan, the ‘land of the rising sun’, is located in the east of Asia and is one of the most popular travel destinations on the continent. Big cities like Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto convince urban fans while ski fans get their money’s worth in Hokkaido and Tohoku.
Flights to Japan are usually a little more expensive than comparable offers to other destinations in Asia, but there are exceptions, and you can sometimes find bargains.

Best travel time

Since the country consists of many climatic zones it is hard to name a perfect time for travelling to Japan. However, summer should usually be avoided, as June is dominated by the rainy season and July and August offer sweltering temperatures with high humidity.

Visa

Most European citizens do not need a visa to enter Japan for a stay of up to 180 days if they do not want to work, study or train. Travelers that arrive under these conditions without a visa will be granted a residence permit as a “Temporary Visitor” for an initial period of 90 days upon entering the country at the airport.
