The Le Méridien Grand Hotel in Nuremberg is currently available on Travelzoo for €109 per night. You’d sleep in a double room and the booking includes breakfast and parking. There is availability until the end of December – but sadly not from November 28 through December 25, when the famous Christkindelsmarkt takes place. In addition, the offer can be cancelled flexibly.
This deal is available on the German Travelzoo website. If you don’t speak German, we recommend that you use a browser that can translate the site for you. Once you’ve bought the voucher, you’ll be able to view it on the English Travelzoo site as well. Redeeming the voucher at the hotel is also possible in English.
Here’s how it works: You buy a Travelzoo voucher for one night and one for each additional night if you want to stay longer. Afterwards, you reserve your desired date directly at the hotel (via phone or email), using the voucher. Of course, it could be that the hotel has no availability on the dates you want. In any case, you can simply return the voucher to Travelzoo until December 30, 2022, and your money will be refunded. If you have already redeemed the voucher, you can still cancel the reservation up to 24 hours before arrival.
If you’re unsure about how many nights you’re going to stay, simply buy a few extra vouchers. Once you’ve decided, you can just get a refund for the ones you bought in excess.
The Hotel
The Le Méridien Grand Hotel belongs to the Marriott chain and is one of the best hotels in Nuremberg. Even the Dalai Lama and the Beatles stayed in this hotel and were able to enjoy the beautiful rooms right on the edge of Nuremberg’s old town.
The hotel also has a gym and sauna. I stayed at the hotel in the summer of 2021. Though the breakfast was not as good as I had expected, I was very satisfied with the rooms, the front desk staff, and the hotel’s location, right between Nuremberg’s central station and the old town.
Price Check
If you book directly at the hotel, a refundable night with breakfast in a Petit room starts at €130 (e.g. on August 21). In addition, you’d pay €20 per day for parking, so you can make a decent saving.
