ALL – Accor Live Limitless Gold Status for €90/Year or a Single Accor Share

Sofitel Budapest Welcome Gift

To get the ALL – Accor Live Limitless (formerly known as Le Club) Gold status, you usually will have to spend 30 nights or €2,800 at Accor Hotels. There are, however, two ways to get the Gold Status far quicker:

A few years ago, Accor was giving out the Gold, and even Platinum status like sweets (really!). These times have sadly passed and this year it has become even harder to get a status at their loyalty program.

Until 2016, all points, even bonus points through offers, counted towards the number of points required to reach a status. Since January 1st, 2017, status points and reward points have been separated, and bonus points are only given as reward points. The program has been renamed to ALL – Accor Live Limitless.

Benefits

First, let us look at the benefits of the Gold status:

  • Early check-in or late check-out, on request and based on availability
  • Upgrade to the next room category, based on availability
  • Welcome gift
  • Guaranteed room up to 3 days before arrival

The Gold status is not a high-end status, but ALL – Accor Live Limitless is generally rather modest when it comes to the status benefits. The only real difference to the highest level, the Platinum status, is the access to the Executive Lounge. ALL – Accor Live Limitless also offers a Diamond Status with complimentary breakfast (but only on weekends).

1. For €90 per Year With the Ibis Business Card

With the Ibis Business Card, you’ll get a 10% discount on the room rate, breakfast price, as well as food and beverages at the bar and restaurant at Ibis, Ibis Styles and Ibis Budget hotels. Additionally, you’ll get the ALL – Accor Live Limitless Gold status and its benefits.

For the Ibis Business Card, you’ll have to pay €90 per year or €159 for two years (€79.50 per year):

If you buy the card while staying at an Ibis Budget Hotel at the front desk, you’ll get a discount:

If a Customer subscribes at an ibis budget hotel while staying at this hotel, the Subscriber is eligible to be reimbursed for a portion of the costs of this stay

The card is valid for a year and does not renew itself automatically. You’ll have to actively renew your card during those 12 months.

2. With just One Accor Share via Shareholders Club

The so called Shareholders Club is another way to gold tier. If you have just a single Accor share (WKN: 860206 | ISIN: FR0000120404), you can enter the Shareholders Club and will get the ALL – Accor Live Limitless Gold Status for one year (currently until 12/2022):

Update

We’ve tested this way ourselves and received our Gold Card within two weeks!

Sadly you’ll only get the Gold status once for 12 months and will then need the required status points or stays to renew the status.

Currently, Accor shares cost roughly €24 each (on December 23, 2022). You’ve to add the fee of your broker. You can find the full terms and conditions of the program here.

Conclusion

Even if the ALL – Accor Live Limitless Gold status isn’t particularly attractive, upgrades and early check-in / late check-out can be worth €90 per year. ALL – Accor Live Limitless is not, however, on the same level as other programs, such as Hilton Honors or Marriott Bonvoy.

    Presently 50 shares are required

  2. mike says:

It’s so cryptic to figure out which kind of shares a particular broker sells. Is it possible to change the share type?

  3. Walter Claes says:

Can you prolong your status by bying some new shares the next year?

    • Felix says:

Hi Walter! As long as you own Accor shares, you remain part of the shareholders club and are entitled to Accor Gold status.

      • freddy says:

i do think that is not correct, see main text above

Sadly you’ll only get the Gold status once for 12 months and will then need the required status points or stays to renew the status.

otherwise it would be to easy!

        • Felix says:

Thanks for pointing that out, freddy. Was a misunderstanding on my part, I will check it again and edit the text accordingly.

i thought the card would be valid till dec of the next year after inscription:
The ALL – Accor Live Limitless Gold card is valid until December 31 of the year after the year of subscription.

    Hi Johannes,
I have a Sparkasse Depotkonto. I’m a bit confused about the different between Registered stock and bearer. If I buy the stock via Sparkasse, do I need 50 or just 1? Thank you so much!

    • Ditmar Lange says:

If you have a bearer share (“Inhaberaktie”, meaning that the company does not know who currently holds the stock), you will need 50. If you have a registered share (“Namensaktie”), 1 will suffice.

  6. Tobias says:

Hi, es muss ja unbedingt eine registrierte Namensaktie sein und keine Inhaberaktie (bearer). Wie hast du das genau gemacht (Broker, WKN).

    Danke und LG, Tobias
