Until April, you can stay at the 4-star Four Points by Sheraton Catania Hotel & Conference Center for only €65. Catania‘s winter is mild (6-15 °C), but on top of Mount Etna there’s snow, so this is a good winter destination both for people wanting to ski and for those who want to escape the bitter cold. In fact, February is considered one of the city’s peak seasons, especially during the Festa di Sant’Agata, the Catholic pilgrimage festival honouring the city’s patron saint.

You can either stay in a room with a queen bed or with 2 twin beds. Either way, the room is roughly 19 square meters large. You can also pay €76 for a refundable rate.
By the way, the Sant’Agata festival takes place on February 5 next year.
The Hotel
The Four Points by Sheraton Catania Hotel & Conference Center is a 4-star Marriott Bonvoy hotel, located close to the Cyclopean Isles.
Previous guests have left good reviews, many of them praising the fancy 80s feeling. Merely the bathrooms have received some criticism.
You would be overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There are a couple of interesting sights around the hotel, such as the Castello Normanno which is less than 20 minutes away on foot. However, there aren’t many restaurants close to the hotel. To get to the hotel from Catania airport, take a regional train to Cannizzaro.

Price Check
While the hotel charges roughly €65 between November and April, you would be paying roughly €80 in May 2023. While the price difference isn’t huge, €65 is a very good price considering that Catania is a popular winter destination. Most 4-star hotels in Catania charge roughly €110 in months like February. On the day of the Sant’Agata festival, the saving is even bigger, as e.g. the Mercure in Catania was already charging over €175 and is now sold out, and even the horribly located ibis Styles costs almost €90 (refundable, with breakfast).
