Fjordline is currently running a great sale for its ferry between Sweden and Norway. You’ll be able to travel between Strömstad and Sandjefjord (and back) for free. As if that wasn’t good enough, you’ll be able to take your car on this trip, with up to 2 passengers.
The fare can be rebooked (while paying a fare difference) or cancelled in exchange for a voucher, which will be valid for a year.
To get this price, you need to register for free at the Fjord Club. Otherwise, you’d have to pay €34.
There’s only limited availability for these €0 fares which you can get in either direction. Therefore, you should not wait much before booking these. Here’s an example for a trip from Strömstad to Sandefjord in August:
And you could return one week later:
On our map below, you can see Strömstad (pointed at by the red marker) and Sandefjord on the other side of the bay. The trip is roughly 2.5 hours long.
The Ship
The MS Oslofjord has been in operation since June 2014 and is almost 135 meters long. It is 24 meters wide. A total of up to 1,350 people and 370 cars fit on the ship. There is a lounge, children’s play area, stage program, restaurant and cafeteria, as well as a “duty-free shopping” area which may be the reason why these prices are being offered. According to Fjordline, around 400,000 passengers travel on this ship every year.
