Oneworld member Finnair offers flights from many European cities to Bangkok, starting at an astonishing €340 for a roundtrip from Paris. As attractive as these fares might seem, a checked bag up to 23 kg comes with a hefty price tag of €70 per direction. This makes this fare mainly interesting for people who hold a Oneworld frequent flyer status or who are fine with traveling with the allowed 8 kg of cabin bags.
These tickets are not refundable. Finnair’s rebooking policies are quite restrictive and only allow for the rebooking fee to be waived under certain conditions. You’d still have to pay the fare difference if you opt to change dates, which can easily double the price of the flight.
Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.
A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.
