There is currently a nice deal for flights to Kenya with the “new” Lufthansa holiday airline Eurowings Discover. For the trip from Lyon to Mombasa, only €359 are charged.
Inexpensive tickets are currently available for May and from November 2023 to January 2024. This includes 8 kg of hand luggage + personal item. The Economy Basic fare with 1x 23 kg baggage allowance is available for a surcharge of €40 per direction, i.e. €446 in total.
Flying from other French airports may be possible too, but sometimes includes very long (even overnight) layovers.
Entry into Kenya still requires proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test. Regardless of Covid restrictions, travellers from most countries require an e-Visa for US$51 (~€48).

The flights include a short layover in Frankfurt. The feeder from Paris to Frankfurt is operated by Lufthansa, from Strasbourg you take the Lufthansa long-distance bus to Frankfurt. You will then spend the long-haul flight on board an Airbus A330 from EW Discover. There is quite a tight 76 cm seat pitch.
