Etihad Sale: Singapore, Cape Town, Bangkok & More Starting at €399 from Amsterdam (incl. Checked Bags)

Etihad Airways A330

Etihad Airways, the second-largest carrier of the United Arab Emirates, is running a sale and bringing you nice prices for trips to many destinations like Bangkok, Cape Town, Singapore and more. The promotion is valid for flights departing from Amsterdam and prices includes famously good board service, a checked bag and – sadly – a change of planes in Abu Dhabi in both directions.

Info

For flights before May 31, 2022, Etihad’s generous rebooking policies, allow you to change your travel date and even destinations without further cost.

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

The following destinations show very interesting prices:

Our availability calendar shows you all possible flight dates at the lowest fare for trips up to 21 days (examples for Bangkok & Seoul). For other destination, we recommend using Google Flights (link below):

You will almost exclusively find Boeing 787 (with a 3-3-3 seating pattern) and Boeing 777 (3-4-3) aircraft in your flight plan. Features like free alcoholic beverages and top-notch personal inflight entertainment are a given when flying Etihad.

Tickets at the lowest price are on sale until October 23, 2021 for travel before March 2022. You need to stay at least three days at your destination, but not longer than three months. Availability is fairly good within the travel period.

You can use Google Flights to find additional flight dates. We also recommend Etihad’s landing page to find further destinations and business class offers.

this is a fantastic opportunity not only in Economic @ Singapore but also in Business @ Tokyo.
For 1500EUR, you get about 15h of pampering with Etihad, in two long hauls.
Add on top, you can even book tickets for Cherry Blossom season in Japan which is notoriously expensive.

The trick is: both countries are currently closed.
Japan is utterly banning any entry, both business & private. Period.

Singapore is requiring a 14-day quarantine period, which mostly kills any adventurous spirit.
Tickets are refundable for a hefty fee (465EUR pp for business with Etihad). I’m not sure about re-booking but I would guess free + fare difference. Which, if borders re-open, most likely will skyrocket.

This being said – a terrific opportunity for those who are willing to take these risks.
