Etihad Sale from Italy: €346 to Bangkok, €395 to Kuala Lumpur, €445 to Tokyo (with Luggage)

Etihad Boeing 787

Gulf carrier Etihad Airways surprises us with a great sale for economy class tickets. With departure from Rome and Milan, you can reach many attractive destinations like Kuala Lumpur or Tokyo for less than €450 – to Bangkok even for less than €350. While you need to change planes in Abu Dhabi in each direction, this price includes meals, drink, a checked bag up to 32 kg and supreme board service.

Info

Due to Etihad’s generous rebooking policies, you are able to change your travel date and destinations without further cost.

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

Our calendar displays all available dates for trips of up to 28 days. You can either book directly on Etihad’s website or save roughly €25 by booking through an OTA

Etihad Airways mainly uses new Boeing 787 aircraft on all of these flights, with a 3-3-3 seating pattern in economy class.

Search & Book

According to Etihad.com, this offer is valid until January 23, 2022 for flights before August 31, 2022. Varying minimum stays apply, depending on your origin and destination. Availability is good for most city pairs we have checked.

You can use Google Flights to find available flight dates. Since Etihad doesn’t serve all routes daily, you might use some filters to avoid long layovers in Abu Dhabi (instructions). Booking these flights on etihad.com is the only way to make sure you can benefit from their rebooking policy, so you might want to consider that, even if booking through our Travel-Dealz flight search is cheaper.

Mileage

These tickets are issued in booking class T. To give you an example, a round trip from Rome to Bangkok would get you:

  • 2,892 Miles on American AAdvantage
  • 2,892 Miles on SriLankan FlySmiles
  • 2,892 Miles on Bangkok Airways FlyerBonus
  • 2,892 Miles on South African Voyager
  • 2,892 Miles on Virgin Australia Velocity
  • 2,892 Miles on Etihad Guest
  • 2,892 Miles on Korean Air Skypass
  • 1,348 Points on SAS EuroBonus

Rebooking These Tickets

According to EtihadHub.com, you can change your travel date and even destinations (within a certain radius) without any additional costs. This goodwill policy covers tickets with travel dates before May 31, 2022. While a bunch of FlyerTalk users claim to have done this successfully, we can’t guarantee it will work. But the option makes this offer much more attractive.
