Australia: €2,043 Business Class From Stockholm With Etihad *Only Today*

Etihad Airways Business Class Boeing 777 Seat

Etihad is offering very competitive fares in its business class from Stockholm to Australia right now. Prices start at €2,043 (~SEK 21,443) to Sydney. Melbourne is possible too. Since Etihad doesn’t fly from Stockholm themselves, the journey consists of two layovers. One in a European city and one in Abu Dhabi.

Very competitive fares from Stockholm to Australia in Etihad’s business class

Most connections will consist of two flights in Etihad’s long-haul business class cabin. But at first you will be using one of Etihad’s partner airlines such as SAS or Air Baltic to connect within Europe.

On most of the flights, Etihad will operate a Boeing 777 or 787 Dreamliner. If you are interested in more details about the cabins in these airplanes, you may read the following comprehensive reviews:

Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?

More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend to book with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:

  1. Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airlines has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.

If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward you information like flight changes instead receiving them directly from the airline. You may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem solving.

This especially applies for premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
  2. Baggage Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are more and more common. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.

Mileage

Tickets are issued in booking class Z, which will give you at least a credit in the amount of 115% of distance mileage with most frequent flyer programs. The following mileage accrual is based on our example routing from Stockholm via Riga and Abu Dhabi to Sydney:
