The Ship

The Costa Pacifica is a big ship, part of Costa‘s Concordia class, built in 2009 and refurbished in 2017. It offers numerous entertainment options and excellent facilities for kids. The 1,504 cabins across 13 passenger decks are nothing to get excited about, but at least they have a flat-screen TV, a desk, and three-door closets that provide adequate storage space. Announcements are made in five languages (usually German, English, Spanish, French, and Italian) due to the multicultural blend of passengers, while the on-board currency is the Euro in Europe, and the US-Dollar outside Europe.

There are 7 restaurants on board, 3 of which are included: La Paloma (buffet restaurant) and both main restaurants, My Way and New York New York. But there’s more to do onboard than just eating. You can play basketball, soccer, tennis, volleyball, or do some Pilates, aerobics, or yoga. Or dive into one of the 4 swimming pools and 5 whirlpools. Other entertainment options include shows, the ballroom, discotheque, casino, and theatre.

Overall, the Costa Pacifica is a very good ship for those who have an active nightlife, families, or groups of friends, who want to enjoy the benefits of travelling onboard one of the biggest Costa ships rather than being on one of the cosier boats.
