Travelling to the USA is currently not really possible. Sadly, we do not know when the entry restrictions will be lifted. If you’re flying within this year, you can reschedule the flights paying only the fare difference (change must be made 21 days before the flight!!). Alternatively, you can also always get your money back as a voucher + 10% more value.
There’s high availability all year long, and even in 2022. However, be aware that TAP does not fly every route daily.
- Toronto at €1,127
- Cancún at €1,130
- New York at €1,144
- Washington DC at €1,148
- Boston at €1,201
- Montreal at €1,203
Since TAP is a Portuguese Airline, there will always be a layover in Porto or Lisbon included. TAP’s long-haul flights are operated by brand-new Airbus A330-900 NEO or A321 NEO LR aircraft. All of them feature lie-flat seats with TAP’s new business class.
By the way, we also have many other business class deals that depart from Dublin:

Unluckily, the fare rules do not specify how long this offer will be available. They only state that you need to stay at least one Sunday at your destination. You’ll find the best and cheapest fares by using Google Flights (instructions).
Adding a Stopover in Lisbon or Porto
If you book directly on TAP’s website, a pop-up window will automatically open. Its user-friendly interface asks you if and how long you’d like to stay in Portugal. This is by far the easiest way to make the most out of a trip with TAP to any destination of your choice. A stopover in Porto can be added the same way. The best thing – the price of your flight remains the same!
The booking class for the flights will be J. Depending on your frequent flyer program of choice you’ll be credited with 125% to 200% of the miles flown. A return flight to Toronto, for example, should get you this:

How to get to Dublin
How to get to Dublin
Dublin is home of the well-known low-cost airline Ryanair, offering flights to various cities all over Europe. Other airlines that are based in the capital of Ireland are Aer Lingus and CityJet, giving you even more options to reach Dublin airport.
Due to its location in the northwest of Europe, flights from Dublin to North America are particularly attractive. Those traveling to the USA from or via Dublin also benefit from pre-clearing. All immigration procedures are already passed in Ireland, making the arrival and entry into the United States as stress-free as possible.

Information & Tips for USA
The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.
Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements
The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA) for about €12, you don’t need a visa for entry.
The Best Time to Visit
Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.
The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
