Several Oneworld members like American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia team up to bring you cheap Business Class flights from Budapest to a multitude of U.S. destinations during Summer 2019. - Miami at €1,528
- Los Angeles at €1,621
- Chicago at €1,628
- San Francisco at €1,633

Search & Book
According to fare rules, this offer will be available until July 1, 2019. It is valid for flights leaving Budapest between July 1 and August 31, 2019 on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. You have to stay at least six days at your destination and may not stay longer than a year. On Google Flights, only flights departing on Thursday can be found at the lowest fare.
Google Flights displays these fares accurately, so it is the most comfortable way to find suiting flight dates (instructions). After retrieving flight dates, you can purchase tickets on a Oneworld website like ba.com or at skyscanner. While the latter may save you a bit of money, it is usually better to be able to communicate directly with the ticket issuing airline.
Given that ticket issuing and operating airlines vary greatly, it is hard to make a competent statement about award mileage. To give you a general idea: British Airways issues tickets in booking class J on short and I on long haul flights. Both are full fare booking classes. The Budapest to New York roundtrip mentioned above would result in the following award mileage:
- 23,690 on Alaska Mileage Plan
- 17,570 on Finnair Plus
- 14,950 on Aer Lingus AerClub
- 14,950 on Iberia Plus
- 14,950 on British Airways Executive Club
- 10,920 on LATAM Pass
- 10,920 on SriLankan FlySmiles
- 10,920 on American AAdvantage
- 10,920 on S7 Airlines Priority Club
- 10,920 on Malaysia Airlines Enrich
- 10,920 on Japan Airlines Mileage Bank
- 10,920 on Asia Miles
- 10,920 on Qatar Airways Privilege Club
- 10,920 on Royal Jordanian Royal Club
Oneworld Business Classes
American Airlines’ Business Class
American’s Business Class is generally well received. Their food and beverage service gets positive feedback as well as their lie flat seat. In contrast, their lackluster lounges and bulky air bag seat belts are main points of criticism. You can read a more detailed review in English or German.
British Airways’ Club World Business Class
BA’s Business Class is subject to some mixed reviews. While it offers lie-flat seats in most aircraft configurations, they are deemed to narrow by some costumers. Since not all seats are facing forward, you might have to endure a long trip facing to the rear end of the cabin.
Further, that some business fares do not include free seat selection is critized, as it may cost €60 to select the seat of your choice. A more detailed review of BA’s 777 Business Class can be read here. Their Boeing 787 features a similiar layout that is reviewed here.
Iberia Business Class
Iberia’s business class layout is 1-2-1, which means that every seat has direct access to an a
Information & Tips for USA
The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.
Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements
The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA) for about €12, you don’t need a visa for entry.
The Best Time to Visit
Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.
The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.
