Once again, Turkish Airlines has come up with a great offer on flights from Europe to Southeast Asia. This time the Star Alliance carrier is selling tickets for business class flights to Denpasar, Bali. Departing from Oslo, you can purchase a round-trip at prices starting from €1,297 / NOK 12,900.
This deal comes with the usual top-notch onboard service and 2 pieces of checked luggage. Availability is good starting in November and all through to May 2020. Also, this deal is perfect if you want to take part in the Turkish Airlines Status Match challenge!
The flight route shouldn’t be a big surprise. As always, Turkish Airlines will first fly you to their hub in Istanbul. After a layover, your trip to Bali will continue. The airline will operate their Boeing 787 on the long-haul route. This means you’ll get to experience the all-new business class:
Search & Book
According to the fare rules, tickets for this deal will be sold until October 13th. The offer is valid for flights departing between August 29th and May 20th, 2020. Xmas and New Year’s Eve are black-out dates.
Minimum stay requirements are 3 days or one night from Saturday to Sunday with 3 months being the maximum you could spend in Asia before returning home.
Google Flights (instructions) will show you all available connections. Look for the dates that suit you best and then use our Travel Dealz flight search to compare prices that OTAs offer. You can also book with the airline directly. But this can result in prices going up by €200 this time.
Why is booking with an airline better than with an online travel agency?
More often than not, online travel agencies offer lower fares than airlines do. We still recommend to book with the airlines directly. There are two main reasons for that:
- Better Customer Service
In case any problems like delays, cancellations or missed connections arise, you can communicate directly with the airline. The airlines has to take care of you because you have a contract with them.
If a travel agency issues your ticket, you may have to reach out to them first. You also depend on your OTA to forward you information like flight changes instead receiving them directly from the airline. You may get a prime exhibition of responsibility shifting rather than problem solving.
This especially applies for premium tickets. You don’t want to spend more than €1,000 to wind up with some budget OTA’s telephone hotline in case anything goes wrong.
- Baggage Fees
Economy fares not including hold luggage are more and more common. In most cases, travel agencies charge much higher baggage fees than the airlines themselves. If bags are not included in your fare, airlines are often the cheaper alternative.
All tickets will be issued in booking class J. Consequently, you can get an earning rate of somewhere between 100% and 200% for this flight. Here’s what you can expect on select Star Alliance frequent flyer programs:

Information & Tips for Bali
Bali is probably the most popular holiday island in Indonesia. While the metropolises of the country are more interesting for tourists that like the hustle and bustle, Bali offers a lot of recreation options with beaches and the rainforest.
Bali is one of the most expensive destinations in Asia when it comes to airfares from Europe. Here you have to be prepared to pay 400€ – 600€ for a return flight. Everything under 500€ is an excellent price for Bali.
Best Time to Visit
From May to October Bali is under the influence of the monsoon. It brings hot and dry air and a lot of rain. Therefore the dry season is the best travel time for Bali. Those who come to the island between May and October can look forward to good holiday weather without inconveniences.
From/to the airport
The main airport on the island is Denpasar. The resorts and hotels, however, are mostly further out. Many hotels offer transfers for their guests. Otherwise, it is advisable to take a taxi or organize a transfer yourself.
