Lufthansa: Free Luggage on Selected European Flights
The Lufthansa Group has an interesting Black Week offer for flights within Europe. On many routes, you’ll get the Economy Classic fare at the price of Economy Light. That means: You can check in a suitcase up to 23 kg at no extra charge and reserve seats (from the time of booking) free of charge.
Bottom line: While some of us were looking for a discount voucher last in previous years, Lufthansa is basically offering something that used to be part of any ticket not too long ago. We still compiled the most attractive offers here.
🔥 Aegean Airlines: 70% Discount on Airfares in the Entire Network
Aegean offers an attractive discount on Friday, taking 70% off the airfare (not taxes & surcharges). Almost every ticket in their network is available for €200 or less.
Bottom line: The best Aegean offer in quite a while – if you want to travel between January 16 and February 22. The discount is not as high afterwards.
SAS: Discounted economy and premium economy fares
SAS offers a bunch of discounted economy and premium economy fares. Especially interesting are flights from multiple European cities to the United States, available for €500 – €800 in premium economy. Also, the nonstop economy fares from Stockholm and Oslo in economy are worth a closer look, too.
Bottom line: The premium economy fares are a real bargain. We have prepared a list of nonstops here and connecting flights here.
Singapore Airlines: Frankfurt – New York €400 including luggage
Singapore Airlines once again discounts its fifth freedom flight from Frankfurt to New York and back. You can enjoy one of the world’s best economy products, two checked bags up to 23 kg each and Singapore’s Airbus A380 within the travel period, that ends in May.
Bottom line: While this fare regularly shows up outside of Black Week, it is still a decent deal.
Aer Lingus: Discounted long-haul nonstop flights
With departure from Dublin and Manchester, Aer Lingus offers a €100/£100 discount on economy and €200/£200 discount on business class tickets, which is applied automatically.
Bottom line: Prices start at €250 from Dublin and around £380 from Manchester to rarely discounted destinations Bridgetown and Manchester. These are quite decent deals.
Croatia Airlines: 30% Discount on the Airfare
Star Alliance’ smallest member Croatia Airlines offers a 30% on the airfare for flights from/to Croatia until March 2023. The offer ends on November 29.
Bottom line: Nothing that screams book me!, but an opportunity to save if you want to travel to Croatia anyway.
LOT: Cheap tickets from/to Poland
LOT Until November 28, LOT offers discounted tickets if Poland is your origin or destination. Especially interesting are the cheap tickets to Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Bottom line: Similar to Singapore Airlines, this is an offer that is not black week specific, but still welcome.
Wingly: Up to 30% discounts on gift cards
Wingly is a carpooling platform for flights. Until December 1, you can get a 30% discount on vouchers and save up to €120 this way.
Bottom line: Wingly offers discounts on their gift cards regularly. But the discount is never as high as during their black week sale.
Virgin Balloons: Virgin Balloon Ride Vouchers in the UK Starting at £99
Not every flight has to take place inside an airplane. Virgin Balloons has discounted its flights for UK departures – just in time to make a great Christmas present.
Bottom line: While the £99 offers come with some significant restraints concerning the departure times, you can still get a nice discount on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, organized by professionals.
Wizzair: 25% Discount on Selected Flights
Wizzair advertises up to three million discounted tickets across their entire network on November 25. As it is often the case with the Hungarian low-cost carrier, it comes with a catch. While the cheapest fare go really low, fares including carry-on or hold bags have skyrocketed. The travel period is from January 9 through April 1, 2023.
Bottom line: There are some real bargains to be made if you don’t need a carry-on bag for your flight.
British Airways: Discounted Transatlantic Tickets
British Airways offers a bevy of Black Friday discounts, like savings on package holidays in London or the United States. The best part of the deal are £300 nonstop roundtrips from London to Tampa and Orlando.
Bottom line: While the Florida tickets deserve some love, there is not much else to see that would make this offers truly outstanding.
