SkyTeam member, Air France has launched an interesting promotion just in time for Valentine’s Day: If you buy a gift card worth €150, Air France will give you a bonus of €20, i.e. you can buy a €170 gift card for €150. This corresponds to a discount of around 11.7%.
The gift cards are then valid for one year from the date of purchase and are not transferable. They can probably only be redeemed on Air France’s website, but for all flights sold there, i.e. flights operated by Air France, as well as KLM, Delta, ITA Airways, China Eastern and possibly other SkyTeam partners.
You have to purchase these cards on the official landing page before the offer ends, either on February 14, 2022 or once 5,000 gift cards have been sold.
Note that there are currently some risks associated with purchasing gift cards, e.g. that the validity of the gift cards is quite short (one year). If you have no purpose for the gift cards by February 2023, they will expire.
On the other hand, you are binding yourself to fly with Air France and its partners, even if flights with a different airline could later be cheaper.
The €20 bonus is automatically granted with gift cards of €150 or more. You just choose the value of your gift card, the name of the passenger who’ll be using the card, enter the email address and then pay. The gift card issuance should take a maximum of 48 hours.

Redeeming the Gift Cards
The gift card is valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be redeemed on all flights sold by Air France. The remainder is retained as a voucher. The gift card is not transferable.
