Guadeloupe & Martinique: €344 From Brussels-Charleroi (incl. Luggage)

Islands of the Saints

We haven’t heard too much from Air Belgium lately, but the carrier is offering cheap flights again out of Charleroi airport, south of Brussels. These routes will take you to the French overseas departments Guadeloupe and Martinique for prices staring at €379. One piece of checked luggage and – most likely – full onboard service is included.

Info

Worldwide travel restrictions are in place to slow the spread of Covid-19. We strongly recommend gathering detailed information about the travel and quarantine restrictions that apply to your desired origin and destination.

A good start is the International Air Transport Association (IATA) website. It provides current updates on a country’s immigration policies. Even better, the Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map is one of the most useful tools you can find.

You can also book open-jaw flights, but sadly not directly via the airline (€322) or get some extra legroom in premium economy for prices around €735. If you like, you can also opt for different cabin classes on your outbound and inbound flight.

If you want to fly comfortably, however, there may be some more interesting options:

The flights are operated with an Airbus A340-300. Both routes are operated twice weekly by Air Belgium, both nonstop.

The economy class seats are built in a 2-4-2 formation, with 79 cm legroom, which is about average. In premium economy you’ll experience seats in a 2-3-2 formation, and also get lounge access in Charleroi. In business class, Air Belgium offers lie-flat seats.

Search & Book

The fare rules do not state until when the tickets will be sold, but all cheap seats will likely be sold out rather sooner than later. The availability is best during the following periods:

  • Early November until mid December 2020
  • Mid May until mid June 2021

There doesn’t seem to be a minimum stay requirement, but a maximum of one month.

The easiest way to find dates that will work for you is using Google Flights (instructions). Let the tool forward you to the carrier’s website and book your tickets there. Depending on the method of payment you choose, you could save some money with our Travel-Dealz flight search.

Tickets will be issued in booking class K, but as of now, there is no way to earn miles with Air Belgium.
