We haven’t heard too much from Air Belgium lately, but the carrier is offering cheap flights again out of Charleroi airport, south of Brussels. These routes will take you to the French overseas departments Guadeloupe and Martinique for prices staring at €379. One piece of checked luggage and – most likely – full onboard service is included.
You can also upgrade to business class for €1,710 or get some extra legroom in premium economy for prices around €731. If you like, you can also opt for different cabin classes on your outbound and inbound flight.
There is no reliable information about Air Belgium’s current financial situation. If you want to avoid any trouble, you should use a credit card to book your flight or you can book a packaged deal with e.g., Expedia. This way, you should also be safe in case of the airline’s inability to pay.
The carrier will operate an Airbus A340-300 during the whole trip. You will first fly from Charleroi to Fort-de-France, Martinique. From there, the journey will continue to Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, and eventually back to Belgium. The layout in economy class will be 2-4-2.
Search & Book
The fare rules do not state until when the tickets will be sold, but all cheap seats will likely be sold out rather sooner than later. The availability is best from April to June.
The easiest way to find dates that will work for you is using Google Flights (instructions). Let the tool forward you to the carrier’s website and book your tickets there. Depending on the method of payment you choose, you could save some money with our Travel-Dealz flight search.
Tickets will be issued in booking class K, but as of now, there is no way to earn miles with Air Belgium.
