New York: Aer Lingus Business Class from Rome and Paris Starting at €1,270

Irish airline Aer Lingus offers cheap business class flights from Rome and Paris to New York starting at €1,270. The fare includes three checked bags and business class amenities. However, the feeder flight will be in economy. The good thing? You can go through a US pre-clearance facility in Dublin, saving time at your destination.

Our availability calendar highlights all possible flight dates at the lowest price for trips up to 28 days. It will forward you to Aer Lingus with your preselected flight dates. We set an 18-hour max filter, so flight dates with overnight transfers won’t show up. The flights are more expensive through online travel agencies (OTAs).

Aer Lingus offers cheap business class tickets from Rome and Paris to New York.

On the short flights to/from Paris, you’ll get an AerSpace seat (Intra-European business class) with a blocked middle seat. However, it seems that you can only select row 1, which has a bulkhead. Considering that there’s no cutout, it may not be the best solution. On the Rome flight, you will be in Economy for the feeder. The good thing is that you can select any seat, including emergency exits. The bad thing is that you won’t get a meal and your mileage will be less.

Aer Lingus uses its Airbus A330s to JFK and Airbus A321LRs to EWR. Both of them have the so-called throne seats and sets of 2 seats next to each other, providing for both solo travellers and couples.

Search & Book

The fare rules don’t state an expiration date, so you should book as soon as possible. The airline didn’t set a minimum stay time, only a maximum 12-month stay. There are no blackout dates, hence many good dates are available. Even winter holidays are included.

Google Flights shows unreliable prices, around €20 more than the actual prices. The best way to look for dates is to use our availability calendar above. We have already filtered out overnight layovers and you can select different durations. Then it will forward you to Aer Lingus’ website. Booking through OTAs doesn’t worth it, since they’re more expensive.

Mileage

Aer Lingus offers the longer flights in booking class P. On the Paris flight, you would get booking class A, and on Rome, you’d get Y. This would be your earnings on the Rome flight:

  • 8,686 Miles on United MileagePlus
  • 2,344 Avios on British Airways Executive Club

Information & Tips for USA

The USA offers many sights, natural wonders and cultural significance. Thanks to numerous airlines offering flights across the Atlantic, it is always pretty inexpensive to get there. Alternatively, you can also cross the Atlantic by boat.

Immigration, ESTA & Visa Requirements

The USA has one of the strictest entry regulations in the world. Most EU citizens, among others, are lucky to be able to participate in the so-called Visa Waiver Program. If you get an electronic entry permit (ESTA)  for approximately €20, you don’t need a visa for entry.

The Best Time to Visit

Due to its sheer size, the perfect time to visit the USA varies greatly from region to region. In winter, Florida is very popular due to the mild temperatures. In the summer the West and East Coasts are flooded by tourists which drives up the prices for hotels and flights and during the Indian Summer in late autumn New England is a very popular destination. The hurricane season between July and September can be dangerous in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida and the southern states are regularly struck by these tropical storms. Blizzards occur from the East Coast to the Midwest during the winter months and regularly put air traffic and public life on hold.

Currency

The US dollar is widely used throughout the world and accepted as a currency in most tourist hotspots worldwide. That being said, carrying cash isn’t necessary in the US, all you need is a credit card! These are very common in the USA and are accepted pretty much everywhere without any issues. If you already have a credit card in your wallet, you should make sure that it does not charge a foreign currency fee if possible. Carrying a few dollars in cash doesn’t hurt though. You might need cash e.g. for the bus ticket if you want to buy it directly from the driver. Most of the time you even have to give exact change.

Taxi: To Manhattan $52.50 (+ $5.50 toll), 45 – 90 minutes depending on traffic.

Newark Intl. Airport

Public transport: Almost $20 with a combination of AirTrain Newark and NJ Transit to Penn Station. Almost 45 minutes drive.

Taxi: To Manhattan $50 – $70 (+ $8 toll), journey time 35 – 60 minutes depending on traffic.

LaGuardia Airport

Public transport: LaGuardia is only served by buses, these are slow and don’t have much space to store luggage, but with $2,75 they are very cheap.

Taxi: To Manhattan $20 – $30, journey time 15 – 30 minutes depending on traffic.

    Hello
It’s the 2nd time I read about such an Air Lingus offer here on Travel Dealz. The United MileagePlus PQP credit seems quite high. It actually equals the award miles credit. Hard to believe. Did you ever doublecheck it?

    • Peer says:

      Hi Helge,

thanks for letting us know. We have double-checked this and unfortunately, no PQP are awarded for Aer Lingus flights. The calculation has now been fixed.
